Korean Aerospace Industries Signs Agreement with GAET for Specialized Workforce Training
On April 1, Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) and its partner companies announced that they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vietnam’s General Engineering and Technology Corporation (GAET) under the General Department of Defense Industry on March 29.
Strategic Aerospace Training Partnership
Under the MOU, KAI and GAET will collaborate to establish aerospace training programs at Vietnamese educational institutions, including vocational colleges under Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense.
The goal is to train more than 100 aerospace specialists annually, enhancing Vietnam’s technical workforce in the sector.
Leveraging Vietnam’s Resources to Strengthen Korea’s Defense Industry
KAI plans to leverage Vietnam’s abundant human resources and infrastructure to develop a highly skilled workforce, which will:
- Address labor shortages for KAI’s domestic partner companies
- Strengthen the South Korean defense industry ecosystem
This collaboration marks a significant step in fostering defense and aerospace cooperation between South Korea and Vietnam.
