GAET Participates in Singapore Airshow 2024
At the invitation of the Singapore Airshow Organizing Committee and international partners, a delegation from the General Engineering and Technology Corporation (GAET), led by Colonel Phan Chiến Thắng, CEO of GAET, attended the 9th Singapore Airshow 2024 at the Changi Exhibition Centre from February 20 to 25.
Asia’s Largest Defense and Aerospace Exhibition
The Singapore Airshow is Asia’s largest defense and aerospace exhibition, held biennially.
The opening ceremony was attended by:
- Chee Hong Tat, Singapore’s Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance
- Heng Chee How, Senior Minister of State for Defence
- Representatives from defense ministries worldwide
According to the organizers, this year’s event featured over 900 companies from 45 countries and territories.
GAET’s Activities at the Exhibition
The GAET delegation toured various booths and product showcases from leading aerospace and defense corporations.
They also witnessed aerial demonstrations performed by:
- The Air Forces of Singapore, India, the U.S., South Korea, China, Indonesia, and Australia
- Major international commercial airlines
Key Meetings and Cooperation Discussions
During the event, GAET held bilateral discussions with major global defense and aerospace companies, including:
- Aeronautics (Israel)
- Rafael (Israel)
- SiBat (Israel’s International Defense Cooperation Directorate)
- IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries)
- ST Engineering (South Korea)
- Embraer (Brazil)
- Other strategic partners
The meetings focused on enhancing cooperation and exploring mutual interests in the defense and aerospace sectors.
Invitation to Vietnam’s International Defense Exhibition 2024
During the discussions, GAET’s CEO extended a formal invitation to international defense partners and military enterprises to attend the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, which will be held in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army.
This event promises to be a major platform for defense industry collaboration and a showcase of Vietnam’s growing defense capabilities.
